Guys are a lot more sentimental than we give them credit for. Almost any male will appreciate a homemade gift from his girlfriend, whether it is for his birthday, Christmas, or no occasion at all. One of my favorite homemade gifts for boyfriend comes from a woman who made her boyfriend a decoupage keepsake box. It was such a big hit with him that she continues to make the boxes for family and friends. The best part is that it is inexpensive and easy to make.
Just pick up a lightweight cigar box or any shape box at your favorite hobby store, along with a small bottle of paint. My friend uses black and white photographs that she copies on plain computer paper but you can use a wide variety of paper cutouts. She likes to use a sentimental photograph that is meaningful to the recipient and using decoupage, she transforms the entire top of the box into whatever scene is on the picture.
These boxes make beautiful treasure boxes or can be used for keys, change, etc. They are quick, easy, inexpensive, and everyone loves them. Believe it or not, my friend isn’t especially creative or crafty. She just watched a few online videos, probably from YouTube or craft sites and she came up with a winner!
Even if you are not especially crafty, you can still make homemade gifts for boyfriend. Just burn a CD or two of his favorite music and you’ll have a great gift in no time. You can download individual songs from a variety of sites, including Walmart or iTunes and have an entire CD burned of just his favorites in under an hour. While it won’t cost a lot of money, he will appreciate the time and effort you took to do this.
If you don’t know of any homemade gifts for boyfriend that you would like to make, you can still gift him with a gourmet dinner or his favorite dinner and dessert along with a night dedicated to what he likes to do best. This could be his favorite video, a night out on the town, or a night in with just the two of you. If he likes to be massaged, you can buy some fragrant massage oil and gift him with the ultimate rubdown.
